AI Consultancy & Automation, Without the Hype

Every business is being told to “use AI”. We show you where it actually pays off in yours — then build it, train your team, and prove the hours saved.

AI that earns its keep

Most of what small businesses are sold as "AI" is either a chatbot nobody asked for or a subscription that never gets used. The genuinely valuable uses are quieter: the invoice that files itself, the report that writes its own first draft, the enquiry that gets answered while you're on a job, the rota that stops eating your Sunday evening.

We're IT professionals with a deep interest in emerging technology — and we use these tools daily in our own business and our family's care home. That means we know first-hand which ones deliver and which are hype.

What our AI consultancy covers

  • AI readiness assessment — a plain-English review of your workflows to find where automation and AI would genuinely save time or money
  • Implementation roadmap — a prioritised, costed plan starting with the quickest wins, not the biggest invoice
  • Workflow automation — bookings, reminders, follow-ups, reporting, and admin handled automatically and reliably
  • Tool selection & setup — the right AI tools for your work, configured safely with your data protection obligations in mind
  • Staff training — patient, jargon-free sessions so your team actually uses what's built — no tech background required
  • Ongoing optimisation — we measure what's working, tune what isn't, and keep you off the upgrade treadmill

Grounded in real results

When we built local personal trainer Kristy Ellis a website, we also automated her bookings, reminders, and follow-ups — admin she'd been doing by hand. Her verdict, in her own words on our testimonials page: it freed up hours every week to spend with clients instead of behind a laptop. In our family's care home, we introduced AI carefully and at the staff's pace — automating reporting and scheduling while respecting the serious data protection duties that come with care records.

Data protection comes first

Before any tool touches your business data, we check what it stores, where, and under what terms — and we'll tell you plainly when a popular tool isn't safe for a particular job. Practical AI and UK GDPR compliance aren't in tension if you set things up properly from the start. If security is your bigger worry, see our cyber security for business service.

Questions & Answers

AI Consultancy FAQs

With the most repetitive, time-consuming admin you do — not with the most impressive-sounding technology. In most businesses that's things like answering the same enquiries, chasing bookings or invoices, writing routine documents, and copying data between systems. We find your equivalent, automate it first, and let the results fund the next step.
No. Most of what we implement runs on tools you may already pay for — or low-cost subscriptions measured in tens of pounds a month, not thousands. We handle the setup and train your existing team. If a solution would genuinely need in-house technical skills to maintain, we'll say so before you commit.
It depends entirely on the tool and the settings — which is exactly why this is part of our assessment. Some tools use your data for training by default; others offer proper business terms with data kept private. We configure whatever we deploy to meet UK GDPR requirements and tell you clearly what goes where.
We agree what we're measuring before we build anything — hours spent on a task, response times, missed bookings, whatever matters to you. Then we compare after implementation. If something isn't paying for itself, we'll tell you and switch it off rather than let a subscription quietly renew.

Sceptical about AI? Good.

So are we, about most of it. That's exactly why our advice starts with your business problem, not with a tool someone wants to sell you.
